Commercial Marketing Specialist - Red Angus Association of America

Full-Time • Remote • Bachelor's Degree Required


Title: Commercial Marketing Specialist


Location: Commercial Marketing Specialist is a traveling position based from a home office the location of which is negotiable. Preference will be given to those willing to be based out of a desired region as determined by the CEO and Director of Commercial Marketing.


Position Responsibilities:

  •  Promote RAAA commercial marketing programs and represent the breed at various beef industry events

  • Strengthen relationships between commercial producers and the RAAA

  • Build a network between RAAA breeders, commercial ranchers, feedlots, packers and consumers

  • Contribute to discussions regarding RAAA commercial marketing programs, breed growth and

  • promotional programs

  • Conduct audits for the department’s highly successful Feeder Calf Certification Program

  • Other responsibilities based on skill and interest may be determined by the Director of Commercial Marketing and CEO

Job responsibilities may evolve with experience. Advancement will be determined and prioritized as complementary strengths are identified within the RAAA marketing team.



Qualifications:

  • Working knowledge of the beef industry

  • Excellent oral and written communication skills

  • Excellent time management skills

  • Skilled in the ability to evaluate and describe cattle phenotypically

  • Comfortable with computers and related technology

  • Ability to travel and arrange travel within a pre-determined budget

  • Self-motivated and able to work in a team environment

  • Ability to organize, prioritize and execute multiple activities effectively


Education/Experience:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Agriculture

  • Beef cattle industry experience preferred
