Job Summary:
A member of the Marketing and Communications team, the communications specialist plays a key role in advancing the College of Education and Human Sciences' marketing and communication efforts, creating compelling visual and written content that highlights the college's mission, achievements, and opportunities. The role requires a versatile individual with strong writing, editing, design and photography skills.
Minimum Qualifications:
Bachelor’s degree in strategic communications, journalism, public relations, marketing or related field.
Demonstrated work experience in social media content creation, editing and publishing.
Excellent writing and editing skills (AP Style).
Proficiency in graphic design software (Adobe Creative Suite: Photoshop, InDesign, Illustrator)
Demonstrated ability to create engaging digital and print content
Enthusiastic about teamwork. Self-driven and able to multi-task
Demonstrated creativity and attention to detail
Preferred Qualifications:
1-2 years in social media coordination, marketing, or communications.
