Continuing Education Coordinator - OSU Veterinary Clinical Sciences

Full-Time • Stillwater, OK


Job Summary:

The Continuing Education Coordinator is responsible for the management and administration of OSU Veterinary Medicine Continuing Education and Extension programs, both on-campus and off-campus. This role involves budget development and financial management, event coordination, and stakeholder engagement with university personnel, state agencies, veterinary professionals, industry stakeholders, and the general public. Additionally, this position will oversee student workers and be responsible for: Event planning and management using CVENT and Marketplace for professional development meetings. Creating marketing and promotional materials, including social media content and newsletters. Arranging catering and logistics for continuing education programs. Building and managing online courses in Canvas Catalog. Creating and editing photos and videos. Handling continuing education-related travel arrangements. Managing financial processes, including purchasing, CVI creation, P-card transactions, and OK Corral purchases. Performing standard administrative office tasks.


Required Qualifications:

Bachelor's degree in Agricultural Communications, Animal Sciences, Agricultural Education, or related field. Post-secondary education may be substituted for experience. Two years of related work experience.  General knowledge of the livestock industry and continuing education. Excellent interpersonal and customer service skills. Strong organizational skills with attention to detail. Ability to work independently with minimal supervision. Proficiency in Microsoft Word (including Mail Merge), Excel, and PowerPoint. Strong communication skills with the ability to engage effectively with diverse audiences. Must have a valid driver’s license and the ability to lift 25 lbs. Employment is contingent upon successful completion of a pre-employment background investigation. Obtain notary certification upon employment.


Preferred Qualifications:

Bachelor's degree in Ag Communications, Business, Hospitality, or related field.  Minimum of three (3) years of related experience, including some supervisory responsibilities. Preferred Skills & Technologies: Familiarity with the following platforms is preferred:

Asana, Adobe Suite, Canvas Catalog, Canva, CVENT, Descript, iModules, Microsoft Teams, Slack, Omni, OSU Policies & Procedures, Social Media Applications, and Touchnet Marketplace.
