Are you a college student passionate about rodeo, ranching, and the Western way of life? Are you looking to hone your writing skills and build your portfolio with a nationally recognized publication? Rodeo Life Magazine is seeking motivated and talented student writers to join our team as interns. This internship offers a unique opportunity to gain hands-on experience in journalism, storytelling, and content creation for one of the leading voices in Western lifestyle media.


Internship Details

  • Position: Intern Writer

  • Duration: 6 -12 months

  • Compensation: Unpaid (potential for college credit; students must coordinate with their institution)


Responsibilities

  • Research and write compelling stories, features, and profiles related to rodeo events, Western fashion, ranching life, and more.

  • Collaborate with the editorial team to pitch ideas and develop storylines.

  • Conduct interviews with rodeo athletes, industry professionals, and Western lifestyle influencers.

  • Edit and revise content based on editorial feedback.

  • Meet deadlines and adhere to Rodeo Life Magazine's editorial standards.


Qualifications

  • Must be a current college student (journalism, communications, or related field preferred).

  • Strong writing, research, and communication skills.

  • Passion for rodeo, ranching, and Western culture.

  • Self-motivated, detail-oriented, and able to meet deadlines.

  • Basic understanding of AP style.
