Educational Program Coordinator - National Reined Cow Horse Association

The National Reined Cow Horse Association, based in Pilot Point, Texas, is seeking a dynamic and experienced Educational Program Coordinator to join our team. The Educational Programs Coordinator plays a key role in developing, managing, and executing educational initiatives that align with the mission and strategic goals of the NRCHA. This role involves coordinating curriculum development, organizing program logistics, and ensuring that program development goals are met effectively. The successful candidate requires strong organizational, communication, and collaboration skills to deliver effective programs that serve both NRCHA members and youth, while supporting professional growth and skill development throughout the organization.


Key Responsibilities:


Program Management & Logistics:

  • Coordinate all aspects of educational program logistics, including scheduling, resource allocation, participant communication, and staff/volunteer coordination.

  • Ensure the availability and preparation of necessary resources (venues, equipment, materials) for each program, maintaining high standards for event execution.

  • Serve as the primary point of contact for participants, instructors, and other stakeholders, ensuring smooth communication and providing timely updates about program details, changes, and logistics.


Collaboration with Director of Programs:

  • Report directly to the Director of Programs to develop, plan, and implement educational initiatives that align with NRCHA’s strategic goals.

  • Collaborate with the Director of Programs to identify new opportunities for educational growth, expanding the offerings for both members and youth participants.


Educational Programs:

  • Membership Education: Organize and manage programs to advance the skills and knowledge of NRCHA members, such as Judge Seminars, Cowboy & Cowgirl Clinics, and other member education initiatives.

  • Youth Development: Plan and coordinate youth-focused educational programs, including the High School Rodeo and Youth Clinics, to provide youth with both technical skills and personal development opportunities.

  • Ensure that all educational content is up-to-date, relevant, and in alignment with current industry best practices.


Judging Programs:

  • Act as the liaison between NRCHA and the Judging Committee, facilitating communication and ensuring the effective implementation of educational materials related to NRCHA Judging Standards.

  • Create and maintain video content, testing materials, and other educational resources that support the NRCHA’s official judging standards, as directed by the Judging Committee

  • Develop and distribute training materials, including video tutorials, quizzes, and reference documents, to educate judges and participants about NRCHA rules, standards, and procedures.

  • Take minutes during Judging Committee meetings, ensuring accurate documentation of decisions, action items, and follow-up tasks.


Program Monitoring & Evaluation:

  • Regularly assess the effectiveness of educational programs through participant feedback, instructor evaluations, and outcome tracking.

  • Use data and feedback to identify opportunities for program improvement, refining content, delivery, and overall participant experience to ensure ongoing growth and success.


Record Keeping & Reporting:

  • Maintain detailed records of all educational programs, participant information, program outcomes, and financials as required by NRCHA.

  • Provide regular updates and reports to the Director of Programs on program progress, key metrics, challenges, and opportunities for future growth and improvement.


Cross-Department Collaboration:

  • Work closely with other NRCHA departments, including Event Services, Foundation, and Youth Development, to integrate educational programs into broader organizational events and initiatives.

  • Collaborate with marketing and communications teams to promote educational programs and enhance participant engagement and outreach. 


Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Education, Business, or strong experience in a related field.

  • Proven experience in educational program coordination and event production, or a similar role.

  • Strong project management, organizational and multitasking skills.

  • Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities.

  • High attention to detail

  • Experience in video production, video editing, LMS, Canva, HubSpot, Final Cut Pro, Asana and Google Workspace preferred.

  • Must be willing to travel to clinics and premier events.
